While on one of their many Caribbean cruises, my mom and dad learned to make some of the local drinks. One of my dad’s favorite drinks is the Yellow Bird—a cool cocktail made with light rum and tropical fruit flavors. It’s definitely an island favorite and it has the cool refreshing taste of a pool-side cruise ship drink. Serving a cocktail in a mason jar is a local Central Florida trend and a perfect way to sip a Yellow Bird. Truth is, any glass will do.
