Wash, hull, and halve strawberries. Place prepared strawberries and alcohol in a large glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. Let stand at room temperature for about 24 hours, or when the strawberries turn pale and white.
Remove strawberries from alcohol and discard. Strain alcohol mixture using a cheesecloth two or three times to remove any strawberry remnants and small seeds.
Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring liquid to a simmer. Heat until sugar completely dissolves and is clear. Let cool. Add the infused alcohol and stir well. Liquore di Fragole can be served immediately.
