Broccoli Salad

  • 1 small head of broccoli
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 6 ounces water


  • Cut broccoli into several different pieces. Wash thoroughly. Put about 1 inch of water in a pot. Place steamer basket in pot and add broccoli pieces; cover. Let water come to a boil; steam broccoli for 8 minutes. Remove from pot and cool.
  • Add the pepper, garlic powder and more salt if needed, then add the vinegar, olive oil and water.
