You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make your home more comfortable. In fact, there are plenty of DIY projects that you can finish in a couple of hours for less than $100. Start with these three ideas. They’ll make your home more comfortable while keeping expenses under budget.
Reupholster Old Cushions

Over time, your favorite cushions will develop holes that make them unsightly and uncomfortable. You don’t necessarily have to buy a new chair or couch just because the cushions have started showing signs of age, though. You can just reupholster them.
To reupholster old cushions, you’ll need new fabric, a large piece of paper to draw the pattern on, scissors, a needle, and thread. If your cushions have zippers, then you may need replacement zippers, too.
Reupholstering cushions takes a little practice. Since you’re working with old, worn-out cushions, though, you might as well try. Your first couple of attempts might not go perfectly, but you’ll learn from your mistakes.
You can make your home more comfortable quickly as long as you’re willing to use a little elbow grease. You won’t even have to spend much money on materials!
Replace Your HVAC Filters Regularly
Your home’s HVAC system does a lot more than control the temperature — it also removes impurities from the air in your home. By filtering out dust, pet dander, and other pollutants, you can make your home a healthier, more comfortable place to live.
Your HVAC system can’t do its job well unless you replace its filter regularly. An old, dirty filter can’t trap pollutants. Instead, some of the dust, dander, and other problems will circulate through your house.
Most people say that you should replace filters once per month. How often you replace them, though, really depends on how much you use your system and how much dirt the filter catches. If you don’t want to buy more filters than necessary, check your system once a month to see if the current one has gotten dirty. If it’s a dark color, get a new one immediately.
Make a Convenient Place to Hang Items
Everything in your house needs a place to stay. If you don’t have a place to store jackets, scarves, and bags, then they’ll eventually clutter an area of your home.
As long as you have some basic materials, you can build a handy place to hang all matter of things. Before you start, buy some attractive hooks, gather an appropriately sized piece of wood, and get some paint that will look good in your room.
Start your project by cutting the wood to the desired length and painting it. Attach your hooks after the paint dries. You may want to test their sturdiness by hanging a heavy coat or purse from the hooks. If the hooks work well, attach the board to a convenient wall, such as near the front door or in a stairway.
Once you have a convenient place to store items, your house will become cleaner and more comfortable.

Three pop up video ads appeared on your page with sound—-I’m sorry to say very annoying. Sandi
Sorry. I’m trying out a new ad program. I had no idea it was doing this. I would be annoyed too.
These are great ideas for making your home more comfortable!
