The breakfast I fix every Monday through Friday has become routine. I use a small 8-ounce mason jar and I fill it with granola, fat-free unflavored Greek yogurt, and fresh berries (blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry are my favorites). Then, I layer the ingredients starting with the yogurt. I drizzle the yogurt with organic local honey then add the granola on top. The berries are the last to be added. I put the jar in my laptop bag and eat breakfast as soon as I get to work. If traffic is heavy, I might eat breakfast on the way to work. Busy people do not need to give up healthy eating. On the weekends, I arrange everything nicely in a breakfast bowl and enjoy. This post is sponsored by Kitchfix, though the opinions are my own.
I was excited to partner with Kitchfix and try its Honey Pecan and Original Grain Free Granola. The granola is a healthy alternative to high fructose granola, and it’s 100% paleo. It’s made with nuts and seeds, certified gluten-free, non-GMO, and has no refined sugars. What I like best about the Kitchfix grain-free granola is that it’s filled with nuts and seeds. Both types of the granola are great with unsweetened Greek yogurt or skim milk. I found myself snacking on the Honey Pecan granola throughout the day. It’s filled with pecans (my favorite), sweetened with honey, and a bit of maple syrup and cinnamon. Kitchfix Original granola is slow roasted in coconut oil and filled with nuts, seeds, coconut flakes, and raisins. I like it best with Greek yogurt or skim milk (both in my Mason jar). I found them both to be good eats, and I can’t say I prefer one over the other for breakfast. As a snack, I did find the Honey Pecan granola to be addictive.
