After unpacking my holiday decorations, I found I had collected many artificial poinsettias along with pinecones, berries, and ribbon. I also picked up a wicker snowman hat from Walmart a couple of years ago, but I never did anything with it. I thought the poinsettia and the snowman top hat would make for great front porch decor or a holiday table centerpiece. When assembling the centerpiece, I did not use all of the artificial poinsettias that I had. Instead, I used enough to make a full bouquet. Use this DIY Poinsettia Snowman Centerpiece as a table centerpiece or as a front porch decoration. I love to line my front porch every year with fresh poinsettia, but now and then I fit in a few artificial decor pieces.
DIY Poinsettia Snowman Centerpiece Tutorial
Follow these instructions to assemble a DIY Poinsettia Snowman Centerpiece.
- wicker snowman top hat
- round floral foam
- 15-20 poinsettia flowers – various sizes, and colors
STEP 1: Select both long and short stemmed poinsettia. Place the shorter stem poinsettia around the rim of the floral foam. I filled the center of the floral foam with the longer stems to give the basket height and a fuller look.
STEP 2: Use as many of the poinsettia as desired. For variety, add one or two white poinsettias to the mix.
STEP 3: Place the filled floral foam in the center of the basket.
