This square was much easier than the Starburst square; the second block of the 2015 Moogly Crochet Along. Once I got started, it went rather quickly. I’m still dumbstruck over block 1, Tamara’s Kismet square. It may very well end up as my last square. I’m going to give it another shot later this week and before block 4 is posted.
I still need to block square 2 and 3, but I’m kind of waiting to see if I can pull off block 1.
Here are my notes for the Windmill Square:
I’m using Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice yarn in these colors:
- Round 1 = Dark Grey Heather
- Round 2 = Pink Rose
- Round 3 = Dusty Blue
- Round 4 = Taupe
- Round 5 = Linen
- Round 6 = Navy
- Round 7 = Pink Rose
- Round 8 = Dusty Blue
- Round 9 = Taupe
- Round 10 = Linen
For the Windmill Square, I used dark grey heather in round one only. It’s a bit dark, and I find that too much of it dominates the color scheme. I might crochet additional rounds in this color, depending on the future CAL patterns for this afghan. I’m still undecided in the color that I’ll use to tie all of the squares together. I’m thinking one of the lighter colors, like Linen.
